Based on the popular anime series from the superstar artist group CLAMP, Chobits OST: Character Song Collection features six breezy character theme instrumentals & seven exuberant vocal songs. This 13 tracks CD includes the bouncy duet version of "Love of Bable", composed by "Pizzicato Five" master K-taro Takanamo & sung by Tomokazu Sugita, the original voice actor of Hideki & popular voice actress & singer Rie Tanako, who did the voice of Chi.

Special thanks to Geneon Anime Music for sending a copy for a review for this site. This is one of many Anime CDs that are domestic release. I thought I will be hearing the lest of Chobits, but I guess wrong. Here is another CD ready for your hears to listen & maybe dance! Well, it's not really a OST, but a collection of character songs. This CD is a mix of music of vocals, characters theme songs & background music. The vocals are from the series itself, likie Track 01, Chi & Hideki get together at the last episode, along with Track 13, which is the special ending for that episode as well, a duet with Chi & Hideki. Track 03, when Chi & Hideki are helping out Miss Hibiya cleaning out the apartment. There is also more background music from the series, Track 02, when Chi is worried for Hideki, Track 04, you guess it, the naughty music, Track 06, when Yuzuki tries to scan Chi, oTrack 08, Miss Hibiya's theme. That one is one of my favorite background music. At last, Track 12, when Yumi is teasing Hideki when she helps him with his job application. Both vocals & background music haven't been release in the first two OST CD volumes. In addition, there are theme songs sung by the original Japanese voices actor & actress of this cool series that isn't from the series, like Track 07, 09 & 11.

I find no problem listening to the music. The tracks are well separated.

Since this Anime CD is a domestic release, it got almost the same as the original Japanese packaging, except with a few English adaptation changes. On the cover, somehow, strange to see it there, but you get the track list, along with the information who sings each song. For some reason, there is lots of typos, like Chi is spelled with two "i" & Miss Hibiya's family name is also spelled wrong, again, with two "i" instead of one. In the back, which is very colorful, featuring all the characters that you will hear from this CD. You might noticed that Geneon Anime Music started to use their new logo! The insert is pretty simple, but really cool. It features the lyrics for all the vocal songs, both original Japanese & translated in English with a screenshot for each of the characters. Yes, there is the credits for the Japanese cast & producers. Since the CD case is clear, you get to see some more screenshots from the series of each characters in the back of the CD disc itself. On the CD disc is just a plain blueish background.

After two OST CD releases of this series, it's not enough for all the Chobits fans out there. It's worth getting this CD, you get more cool music from the series that been left out from the first two CDs releases, along with new & never release music. If you like the Chobits series, get the CD. Not only that, you will support Geneon Anime Music on releasing more Anime CDs in the near future.
