Introduction:
Serial Experiments Lain is one of the most popular, stylishly intriguing & thought-provoking Anime series ever seen. Delve deeper into the sounds of Lain's Wired world with the release of the domestic Lain CD OST. Featuring eclectic, haunting instrumentals with an underscoring of techno, this OST features music by artist Nakaido "Chabo" Reichi.

Tracks:
  • Track 01: Lain's Theme
  • Track 02: Pulse Beat
  • Track 03: Inner Vision
  • Track 04: Misty Strange Dimension
  • Track 05: Free Zone
  • Track 06: Working Man's Theme
  • Track 07: Like a Lizard
  • Track 08: Idiot Fowl's Ballad
  • Track 09: Hill Road's Theme
  • Track 10: Signal of Solitude ~Image Song~
  • Track 11: Lain's Theme (Reprise)
  • Track 12: Wind of Space-Time
  • Track 13: Family Portrait

Music Presentation:
Special thanks to Geneon Anime Music for sending a copy for a review for this site. This is one of many Anime CDs that are domestic release. I have yet to see the series of Lain. I have a mix feeling for the music on this CD. It's a mix of rock & classic music at the same time. It's really strange. It really got nice music.

Audio 2.0:
I find no problem listening to the music. The tracks are well separated.

Packaging:
The package looks like the original Japanese release. You get to see the main character on the cover, playing the guitar. In the back, is that a bear? The only thing I didn't like there is all the track listening are in a circle around that bear, it's hard to read when place like that. The insert is pretty simple, there is a note from the maker of the Lain series, both English translation & original Japanese lyrics for music of Track 10 & credits, which I find it hard to read behind the yellow background. The CD case is a clear one, so you get to see a background behind the CD itself, bugs anyone? The CD disc itself is a partly old record disc. You can see barely the "Serial Experiments Lain" title on it.

Overall CD Rating:
I really did enjoy the CD. It's worth it, even you did see the series or not.

Music Presentation: It got really nice music.
Audio 2.0: No problem detected!
Packaging: The same as the original Japanese cover. Bear?
Overall CD Rating: It is worth it to get it!
