Music Presentation:
Special thanks to Geneon Anime Music for sending a copy for a review for this site. This is one of many Anime CDs that are domestic release. Last Exile is a very awesome series of high adventure & stuning all aerial battle. What's more, music that match up with it. This CD is pack with music from starting off the day with Claus & Lavi (Track 02 & 03) goes out to work & when Al goes out to explore where she is (Track 10), which I find very cute. How about Claus & Lavi takes a job offer (Track 06). There is also the battle scene (Track 11, 12 & 13) to the powerful airship Silverna (Track 16). There isn't only two vocals, but 5 in total. There is the introduction theme (Track 01) & the ending theme (Track 19), both the full version. Track 16 is another one, but I got no clue where this is from. It's sound really funny, like one of the Beatles is singing it. The last two are actually chorus, Track 05 & 09, perfert for relaxing. Those two are my favorite music on this CD.
Audio 2.0:
I find no problem listening to the music. The tracks are well separated.
Packaging:
Since this Anime CD is a domestic release, it got almost the same as the original Japanese packaging, except with a few English adaptation changes. On the cover, it's really dark & you can't see anything, but I think it's an artwork of Claus. It's just awful, I say. In the back, the track list is hard to read. You need to look closely to figure out what it's written. The color used doesn't really bring the track list out since the background is the side of a Vanship. Dark color over dark background makes it hard to read. You might noticed that Geneon Anime Music started to use their new logo! The insert is pretty simple, no screenshots, just a very cool picture of a red Vanship, along with maps in the background on the other pages. Also, there is the cast list & yes, both English translation & original Japanese text lyrics for the vocals songs on the CD. On the CD disc itself, it's totally black. You can't even see the title without reflecting it on the light. Since the CD case is a clear one, you get to see a "Guild" design symbol in the back.
Overall CD Rating:
If you like the Last Exile series, get the CD. It will set you up & make you dream to go on an flying adventure. If not, you can just sit back & enjoy some of the relaxing tunes on the CD. Not only that, you will support Geneon Anime Music on releasing more Anime CDs in the near future.
