Emerging as one of the true heavy-hitters among new anime series, Last Exile has completely blown away fans with breath-taking visuals, captivating storylines, & sensational music. Over a CD flight course of 20 tracks are five new, depthlessly moving vocal songs (including a new version of the ending song "Over the Sky") & 15 evolving instrumentals by Dolce Triade, free-flowing with symphonic grace & atmospheric warmth. Music Presentation:
Special thanks to Geneon Anime Music for sending a copy for a review for this site. This is one of many Anime CDs that are domestic release. I guess it's not over of the wonderful music from Last Exile. Now, there is 20 more tracks for you on the second volume of the Last Exile OST. You might not recognized some of the musics on this CD, since the series only hits up on DVD up to Volume 03 as the day I write this review, though there is a few you might noticed. Like Track 05, when the series starts off with a battle scene. My favorite track is Track 01, like you're getting ready to go out for an adventure of a life time. There is also another version of the ending theme "Over The Sky" (Track 19), which is more relaxing then the original version. You will also get the same chorus vocal songs in Track 07 & 20. It's not as relaxing like from the previous volume, but it's quite interesting.

Audio 2.0:
I find no problem listening to the music. The tracks are well separated.

Packaging:
Since this Anime CD is a domestic release, it got almost the same as the original Japanese packaging, except with a few English adaptation changes. The design of this volume is the same as the pervious volume, except that it's white instead of the awful black. On the cover, you can now see a very nice artwork of Claus. In the back, the track list is still hard to read, but not that bad. You need to look closely to figure out what it's written. The background is pretty cool, different designs of Vanships that you might see during the series. You might noticed that Geneon Anime Music started to use their new logo! The insert is pretty simple, no screenshots, just a very cool picture of an open-up Vanships, along with maps in the background on the other pages. Also, there is the cast list & yes, both English translation & original Japanese text lyrics for the vocals songs on the CD. On the CD disc itself, it's totally white. You can't even see the title without reflecting it on the light. Since the CD case is a clear one, I'm sure what it is, but I think it's a speed dial of a Vanship.

Overall CD Rating:
Even the Last Exile series haven't advance as quickly as the OST, you might not recognized some of the musics on this volume then the previous one. However, it's still worth getting it if you're going to keep on watching the rest of the series when it comes out. Not only that, you will support Geneon Anime Music on releasing more Anime CDs in the near future.

Music Presentation: The remix of "Over the Sky" is very relaxing.
Audio 2.0: No problem detected!
Packaging: A little better, but a little more color would be nice.
Overall CD Rating: If you're planing to see the rest of the series, get it!
