Music Presentation:
Special thanks to Geneon Anime Music for sending a copy for a review for this site. This is one of many Anime CDs that are domestic release. This CD is for the second season of Mahoromatic. There isn't much tracks as the first season OST. The reason is that this season used the same background music as the first, except with additional theme related to Minawa. That's what this CD comes in. You get the full version of both the introduction theme (Track 01) & ending theme (Track 15), along with the karaoke version (Track 16 & 17). The rest are background music, except Track 18-38, which are little messages from Minawa. Most of them are a few second short. You might recognize Track 07 the most, when Mahoro is giving a little fan service while coming out of the bath! That is one is my favorite. There is one sad music, Track 14, I don't know, moves me a little, it touch your heart a bit. Track 10 to 13 are background music from the last episode & no where else.
Audio 2.0:
I find no problem listening to the music. The tracks are well separated.
Packaging:
Since this Anime CD is a domestic release, it got almost the same as the original Japanese packaging, except with a few English adaptation changes. On the cover, you see the cute Mahoro, along with Minawa, both in their maid suits. In the back, you see a cloudy sky background with the track list. Though, it would be nice to make the font a little bigger, it's a little too small to read. The insert is really cool. There is tons of screenshots throughout the series. There is both English translation & original Japanese text lyrics for all vocal on this CD, as well the cast list. Also, a little note from the music composer. However, it's lacking a English translation for the extra message from Minawa (Track 18-38). On the CD disc itself, it's the same cloudy sky background. Since the CD case is a clear one, you can see the same cloudy sky background again, but it matches up with the rest of the design.
Overall CD Rating:
A little short on the music, but somehow, I feel I want more! There is a few music I like on this. Though, I wish they do left a little section to translate the extra message, I don't speak Japanese! Still, I do enjoy the series & it's still worth it to add it to your collection, especially if you're a Mahoromatic fan. I hope there will be more! Not only that, you will support Geneon Anime Music on releasing more Anime CDs in the near future.
