Music Presentation:
Special thanks to Geneon Anime Music for sending a copy for a review for this site. This is one of many Anime CDs that are domestic release. I have yet to see this series, but the music is really awesome. You start off with the introduction (Track 01), fellow by amazing musics background music that plays throughout the series. Track 02 is more like a hero music, a warrior. It really lift you up & make you want to be a hero. There is a mix of battle music & there is a few relaxing music as well, like Track 08 & Track 12, which is the piano version of Track 02, Destiny. It's the same song, but the piano makes you want to cry. What a music piece that can bring a hero moment, but also bring you sadness. The CD ends with the ending (Track 13) theme.
Audio 2.0:
I find no problem listening to the music. The tracks are well separated.
Packaging:
Since this Anime CD is a domestic release, it got almost the same as the original Japanese packaging, except with a few English adaptation changes. On the cover, you will see the main character holding a really cool. In the back, a few face screenshots of the characters in a white background. The insert is pretty simple, just the lyrics of all the vocal songs on this CD, both the English translation & original Japanese text, lots of screenshots from the series, as well the credits & notes; from both the director & music composer. The CD diskc itself is a little plain, just a big plain X with a black backgroound. After all, X do mark the spot. Since the CD case is clear, it's just a plain black background with lines below.
Overall CD Rating:
If you're a big fan of X, this CD will be a great addition to your collection. The music I really love is the Track 02, Destiny. Just that music itself is worth this CD. Not only that, you will support Geneon Anime Music on releasing more Anime CDs in the near future.
