Feature Presentation:
Special thanks to Geneon Entertainment for sending a copy for a review for this site. Ai Yori Aoshi is back for a second season. You get to see all the lovable characters once again, along with all the fun, laughter, moments that will touch your heart & maybe bring a tear in your eyes. Oh, there is even a little more exciting moments, if you know what I mean. Our love story continues with Kaoru & Aoi. It's been two years since they been reunited. The first episode is just a little recap, so you know where you are. Kaoru & Aoi still have to keep their relationship a secret, but Chika tested how everyone else feels for him. Also, it will explain the meaning of "Enishi". As the last episode from the first season, Chika moved in & adjusting to her new home with everyone else, as well going to a new high school near by. She got two best friends & somehow, they found Kaoru's picture. Curious, they invited themselves to the Sakuraba manshion. It went all crazy. Next, everyone ended up going to play some tennis. Aoi's grace playing the game is really incredible. Just went all the accidents. At last, we all know that Taeko isn't afaird of ghosts & she was send to find out what is making that noise in the middle of the night. However, she drag everyone with her to hunt for this ghost, making everyone screaming & running. This season is as enjoyable as the first one, maybe a little more. I'm sure you will love it as much as I have.

Video:
Geneon Entertainment did a very great job, again. I found no problem, the image are clear & the color looks perfect. There is some watermarks done for the introduction & ending credits (they are translated in English). Since all the episodes are on one single track on the DVD, there is no loading time or changing tracks when you move on to the next episode. Each episode is split into 5 parts: introduction, part A, part B, ending & the preview! I do note that you can skip the warnings & logos in the beginning using the "Menu" button on your remote.

Dubbing: English:
The cast have return once again for the second season. The English dubbing is well done. They even capture the emotions & impacts during certain parts of the series, especially the parts that move your heart & brings you into tears. The dialogue even includes Japanese terms, like "chan" or "sama". This way, Geneon Entertainment can get it to be as close to the Japanese dialogue, since its mostly involve Japanese culture. It's about 85% of the original Japanese.

Subtitle:
Geneon Entertainment have selected a great font, easy to read. They use green for the introduction & ending themes, white for any text subtitling & yellow for the dialogues. One track is for the sign subtitling & the other one is for the Japanese dialogue. I might note that every odd numbered episodes, the intro & ending subtitles are in English, while the even numbered episodes are in Japanese original text on this volume.

Menu Option:
The menu have change a bit, but kept the same design as for the first season. There is a book, a photo album in the center holding the menu options with lots of photos, screenshots taken from the episodes on this volume, in the background. There is a small animation of pink flower petals moving by the wind across the screen select the options. There is the "Play All", "Screen Access", "Set Up" & "Extras". One of the series background music is playing in the menu screen. However, it's only for the main menu, there is no music playing in the other sections.

DVD Extras:
There is only one extra, but it's a very good one. It's an extra special episode. A strange one, I might add. Though, it might be a little off, as it's all related for the Chirtmas season aand it's before Aoi & Kaoru have reunited. Aoi is there, but she's Santa! However, I did find it really sweet, for Kaoru that is. You will see. This feature is fully dubbed & also got the original Japanese with subtitle. There is also no watermark, all the Japanese credits are kept.

Packaging:
Again, the design is kept the same. It's a very colorful cover. You get to see the beautiful Aoi in the front. In the back, you get some screenshots from the episodes in this volume, along with a very nice picture of the entire group! The only thing out of place is the font used for the description. The insert have a chapter list along with one screenshot from each episode. There is also a description what's about the special episode, along with screenshots from it too. Inside the insert is a mini-poster with a very sexy Aoi-chan. Since the DVD case is a clear one, you get to see the other reversible cover, which is nice as the default. On the DVD disc itself, it's the same image as the cover.

PC Viewing:
Watching it on the PC is the same as watching it on the TV. Very clean, no problem at all, very little pixel (little squares popping in & out), both normal mode & full screen mode. The sound is just great. The episodes are place on one single track as you play the episodes, so loading time is really small. You can fast forward to the first episode to the last episode with one move on your mouse! Like on your regular DVD player, you can skip the warnings & logos when you load the disc, just use the "menu" option to go to the menu screen.

Overall DVD Rating:
If you love the first season, you will love the second, maybe even more. You want to know what happen next, right? I do recommend to watch it with someone you love & care. Just sit back, enjoy & laugh out load when the funny moments pops out.
