Introduction:
Hina loved high-tech battle, she just never thought her life would become one!

Avid gamer Hina Mitsurugi loves the fast paced action of battle. Whether it's blasting away the competition on her favorite arcade game or watching the latest kickboxing match, she's always ready for a good fight. When an innocent outing with friends turns into an all out battle for survival, Hina must put her virtual battle skills to the test in the real world - only this is no game & she doesn't get a second chance!

Hunted by assassins & thrown into a battle between ancient gigantic robots, Hina is in for the shock of her life - it seems she's one of the pilots of Dangaizer, the most powerful robot of all time!

Now her & her fellow girls pilots, Cindy & Reika, have been targeted for annihilation by Dangaizer's ancient enemies, the evil organization of Goma.

Somehow the trio must awaken Hina's past memories & unlock her destiny before Goma manages to destroy Dangaizer & seize control of the entire planet!

Feature Presentation:
Special thanks to Right Stuf International for sending a copy for a review for this site. First of all, I want to say: "Wow, Anime nudity!". Yes, naked babes, to changing right in front of our eyes to the transformation sequence! Don't worry, no hentai or anything, but it got thongs to boobs jiggling! This is going to be a strange Sci-Fi Anime! There is so much sexual context in it.

It's a mix of Power Ranger, Ronin Warriors & Sailor Moon. The story is in the future is place in Hong Kong, rather then Tokyo, like almost all Anime are. If you have seen the Evangelion series, you can notice some Evangelion sound effects. I find this series good to watch for it strange mix, but it's not really for hardcore Anime fans. However, it got something unique that I can't really explain. The music seem to bring the battle right out & they have some comedy into it. The introduction is really cool.

Video:
Right Stuf International did a great job bring it on DVD. It is clean, crisp, I found no problem. It's pretty amazing that, the fact that this series is pretty old, but the animation is pretty clean. They also added the Ennglish version of the cast & staffs list at the end of each episodes, using the ending theme. Since the episodes are on different tracks, it will have a small pause when you move on to the next episode. Plus, you can skip all those little ads & logos by pressing the "menu" button on your remote.

Dubbing: English:
The English dubbing is so so. It is a little different then the Japanese version. There is some part that have dialogues in the Japanese version, but not in the English version. It's about 80% of the original Japanese.

Audio 01: English 2.0:
The English track isn't the default on this DVD. You still have to switch it if you want to watch it in English. The dubbing is really great, very clear & no problem at all.

Audio 02: Japanese 2.0:
The Japanese track is the default track. It's great that both Japanese track & English track are at the same volume, so I don't have to adjust the volume of the TV while changing the tracks.

Subtitle:
There are two tracks of subtitling. One track is for the sign subtitling & the other one is for the Japanese dialogue. The font they have picked is easy to read. All the subtitling are in yellow, the color white is use for Japanese sign & texts. However, I don't know why, one part of the subtitle is missing, the sentence just cut off. I wonder they will fix that problem.

Menu Option:
The menu is pretty simple. No animation or anything. The background is lots of screenshots & playing in the background is the main theme. There are 4 buttons, "Play All", "Episodes", "Gallery" & "Liner Notes". The Scene selection is pretty well organize. They are separated by episode, then by section per episode, intro, chapter separation & the ending, both English & Japanese. Good background, too.

DVD Extras:
There isn't much extras. Just a gallery of screenshots & there is a note explains the story a little more, if you don't understand it while watching the series.

Packaging:
The package is pretty simple. The main front cover are the three pilots, very colorful. The back is just some screenshots of the episodes with the robot Dangaizer. However, there is no insert. On the DVD disc itself, the same Dangaizer picture.

PC Viewing:
Watching it on the PC is the same as watching it on the TV. Very clean, no problem at all, very little pixel (little squares popping in & out), both normal mode & full screen mode. The sound is just great. Each episode is place in a different track, so you can only fast forward in one episode at a time.

Overall DVD Rating:
I find it ok, nothing much. Maybe some of you might like this kind of Anime.
