Introduction:
Hina Mitsurugi never imagined her life would end up like her favorite battle game!

Even after piloting the monolithic robot Dangaizer, Hina can't seem to remember what her true purpose is or why Goma is trying to kill her. While Reika & Cindy struggle to restore her broken memories, Goma is targeting Neo Hong Kong for the next stage in their diabolical plans of destruction.

When the three pilots knowingly rush headlong into a trap, the stakes have been raised! There's a new player in the game - Eileen, the Angel of Destruction! Her close resemblance to Hina could contain the answers to her mysterious memory lapse. But why is she so determined to destroy Dangaizer?

It's an all out battle to Armageddon that no one may be able to stop!

Contains Episodes:
  • Episode 03: The Challenge of the Moonflower
  • Episode 04: The Great Battle at the Bottom of the Sea

Feature Presentation:
Special thanks to Right Stuf International for sending me a pre-release copy for a review for this site. This is a preview of what's going to be release, so not all information will be available until then. As the first volume you're gonna get all those Anime nudity you want! Just kidding. The context is the same as the first one. As the series goes on, you get to know what's actually going on.

When they transforms for battle, their armor called "Soul Gear" not only give them strength & power, but to pilot a bio-like-robot called Dangaizer, all three of them together. Only them can call upon the armor. Dangaizer have the ability of three transformation modes, which each pilot represent one mode. Their goals is fulfill Dangaizer's project & must protect Dangaizer from Goma, because he fears of "Judge System" that Dangaizer have. Though, the only part I hate that there is a young girl who mention that she sell her body since the age of six years old to survive. Technology have advance, but human problems still exist.

Video:
Right Stuf International did a great job bring it on DVD. It is clean, crisp, I found no problem. They also added the Ennglish version of the cast & staffs list at the end of each episodes, using the ending theme. Since the episodes are on different tracks, it will have a small pause when you move on to the next episode. You can skip all those little ads & logos by pressing the "menu" button on your remote.

Dubbing: English:
The English dubbing is so so. It is a little different then the Japanese version. There is some part that have dialogues in the Japanese version, but not in the English version. It's about 80% of the original Japanese.

Audio 01: English 2.0:
The English track isn't the default on this DVD. You still have to switch it if you want to watch it in English.

Audio 02: Japanese 2.0:
The Japanese track is the default track. It's great that both Japanese track & English track are at the same volume, so I don't have to adjust the volume of the TV while changing the tracks.

Subtitle:
There are two tracks of subtitling. One track is for the sign subtitling & the other one is for the Japanese dialogue. The font they have picked is easy to read. All the subtitling are in yellow, the color white is use for Japanese sign & texts.

Menu Option:
The menu is pretty simple, same format as the first volume. No animation or anything. The background is lots of screenshots & playing in the background is the main theme. There are 4 buttons, "Play All", "Episodes", "Gallery" & "Liner Notes". The Scene selection is pretty well organize. They are separated by episode, then by section per episode, intro, chapter separation & the ending, both English & Japanese. Good background, too.

DVD Extras:
There isn't much extras. Just a gallery of screenshots & there is a note explains the story a little more, if you don't understand it while watching the series.

Packaging:
The package is pretty simple. The main front cover is one of Dangaizer transformation mode, with the pilot that have the command of that mode. It sure looks like an Evangelion. The back is just some screenshots of the episodes. It didn't came with any inserts & since this DVD is a pre-release, the DVD disc doesn't have any cover.

PC Viewing:
Watching it on the PC is the same as watching it on the TV. Very clean, no problem at all, very little pixel (little squares popping in & out), both normal mode & full screen mode. The sound is just great. The movie is place on one single track as you play the episodes, so loading time is really small, you can zip through all the episodes in one shot. Like on your regular DVD player, you can skip the warnings & logos when you load the disc, just use the "menu" option to go to the menu screen.

Overall DVD Rating:
I didn't like this volume as the first one, but I wonder what's going to happen next.

Dubbing: English Dubbing is great, not as close as the original Japanese.
Audio 01: English 2.0 No problem found!
Audio 02: Japanese 2.0 The Japanese track is on default.
Subtitle: English Yellow subtitling works.
Menu Option: Simple & easy to go around.
DVD Extras: Nothing much, just a gallery.
Packaging: Simple, but cool.
PC Viewing: Easy to view, clean, no problem!
Overall DVD Rating: I find it ok. It's depending on your taste.
