Special thanks to Geneon Entertainment for sending a copy for a review for this site. You might think this series is another all babe series, but you're wrong. It's explosing fun. What a perfert combo: hot babes in sexy gears, lots of actions with little bit of fun & laughter as you join the ride. In a world where land disappeared & humanity is now living in floated cities, you get to meet Maia Miziku, a girl with big dreams to join the Ocean Agency, but ended up failing the extrance exam. However, the bad luck doesn't stop there, she been also evicted from her home & also penniless. Seaching for a job & a place to stay, she caught herself into trouble. Here comes a team of babes with guns to the rescue. The elite fighting group are called Nereides with Rena, smart & elegant leader; & Shizuka, an expect mechanic & not to mention a very big hunger for food! Their task is more or less helping others to bounty hunting, all for a price. Without anywhere to go, Maia takes the offer to take in an Nereides operation as bait! This is also a test to see if she can also prove herself if she can join the team. As she tries to egt use to her new job, there is also another member that showed up, who wanted her share of her payment from Rena!
Video:
Geneon Entertainment did a very great job, again. I found no problem, the image are clear & the color looks perfect. There is some watermarks done for the introduction & ending credits (they are translated in English). Since all the episodes are on one single track on the DVD, there is no loading time or changing tracks when you move on to the next episode. Each episode is split into 5 parts: introduction, part A, part B, ending & the preview for the next episode! I do note that you can skip the warnings & logos in the beginning using the "Menu" button on your remote.
Dubbing: English:
The English dubbing is well done. All the voices matched quite well for all the characters, cute & sweet, but keeping that tone that when things get serious. It's about 85% of the original Japanese.

Subtitle:
Geneon Entertainment have selected a great font, easy to read. They use green for the introduction & ending themes, white for any text subtitling & yellow for the dialogues. One track is for the sign subtitling & the other one is for the Japanese dialogue. I might note that every odd numbered episodes, the intro & ending subtitles are in English, while the even numbered episodes are in Japanese original text.
Menu Option:
The menu is pretty pink. There are eye shots from the babes of Nereides, along with screenshots from the episodes in this volume. There is the "Play All", "Screen Access", "Set Up" & "Extras". Selecting any of the options will make a little animation like you're moving in the water. The background music is the introduction music. However, it's only for the main menu, there is no music playing in the other screen section.
DVD Extras:
There isn't much extras, just the non-credit opening. That's about it.
Packaging:
It's a very colorful. On the cover, you see Maia in her pink dress. In the back, you see a Manga version of the hot babe, Shizuka, along with screenshots from the episodes in this volume. In the insert, there is the chapter list with a screenshot from each episode, along with the upcoming releases date for the rest of the series. Inside the insert, there is a mini-poster of the girls of Nereides in their uniform, Manga-style. On the disc itself, it's Maia, the same as the cover. Since the DVD case is a clear, you get to see the reversible cover, which you will see Shizuka, with a very sexy Maia.
PC Viewing:
Watching it on the PC is the same as watching it on the TV. Very clean, no problem at all, very little pixel (little squares popping in & out), both normal mode & full screen mode. The sound is just great. The episodes are place on one single track as you play the episodes, so loading time is really small. You can fast forward to the beginning to the end with one move on your mouse! Like on your regular DVD player, you can skip the warnings & logos when you load the disc, just use the "menu" option to go to the menu screen.
Overall DVD Rating:
I feel sorry for Maia when the series started, but all things will work out after all. The Nereides are really cool, fun & sexy. I had a feeling that this series wouldn't be like any other & there will be more to it. Join in on the next mission...
