Introduction:
Can high school be any more fun?

Mika Suzuki wants to be the best teacher in the world, but standing at under five feet tall (even in heels!) with a baby face & a tendency to cry, she just can't be taken seriously by her students. She may be an adult, but she seems more like a little kid! With a class full of "energetic" kids - from the jock to the narcisist to the resident otaku, can Mika control the chaos in her classroom?

Contains Episodes:
  • Episode 01: Here Comes Class 2A of Okitsu High School
  • Episode 02: Measuring & Throwing & Hitting
  • Episode 03: Swimsuits & Exams! Something Drops!
  • Episode 04: Mika-Sensei's Summer Story

Feature Presentation:
Special thanks to Geneon Entertainment for sending a copy for a review for this site. Boy, this is a fun loving Anime, cute, yet exciting giving you little giggles. Remember your high school days or maybe you're still in high school? Well, this is a story of one high school class with a very strange & odd teacher. Mika Suzuki want to be like any other wonderful teacher, to be the best teacher for her students & hope they do well. However, there is one little problem, actually, a big problem, Mika-Sensei, as all her students call her, is only less then five feet tall, even on heels. Not to make things worst, she got a baby face & always cry for the smallest things, just like a kid. So, it's kinda hard for students to respect her as teacher, when she can easily be one of them. Her students is also odd as well, with a boy who likes boys & a girl who likes girls (especially for Mika-Sensei), a guy who looks like an old man, a boy who dress up as a girl & so much more. The first episode is one of the best which you get to meet everyone of them & you get to know quite quickly. As for the rest, it's everyday a normal school day, to exams to activities. With this class & teacher, the fun of being in high school is just the beginning...

Video:
Geneon Entertainment did a very great job, again. I found no problem, the image are clear & the color looks perfect. There is some watermarks done for the introduction & ending credits (they are translated in English). Since all the episodes are on one single track on the DVD, there is no loading time or changing tracks when you move on to the next episode. Each episode is split into 4 parts: introduction, part A, part B & ending! I do note that you can skip the warnings & logos in the beginning using the "Menu" button on your remote.

Dubbing: English:
The English dubbing is well done. I have a feeling that the voices are new batches of voice actors & actresses. The dialogue left also, well, the "Sensei" term, as in teacher in direct translation, which is great. This way, Geneon Entertainment can get it to be as close to the Japanese dialogue, since its mostly involve Japanese schooling. It's about 85% of the original Japanese.

Audio 01: English 2.0:
No problem found.

Audio 02: Japanese 2.0:
No problem found.

Subtitle:
Geneon Entertainment have selected a great font, easy to read, though a little small. They use green for the introduction & ending themes, white for any text subtitling & yellow for the dialogues. One track is for the sign subtitling & the other one is for the Japanese dialogue. I might note that every even numbered episodes, the intro & ending subtitles are in English, while the odd numbered episodes are in Japanese original text. However, for some reason, there isn't any subtitle for the introduction & ending theme for the English track subtitle is on, so you must switch the Japanese subtitle track to get them.

Menu Option:
The menu is pretty simple. It starts off as Mika-Sensei writing the menu on a school board. There, you see Mika-Sensei & her students flipping on the menu screen with a very flashly background, which make you crazy. There is the "Play All", "Screen Access", "Set Up" & "Extras". The music, well, I really got no clue where it's from, but I'm sure it's from the series. Honestly, the music is more of the annoying side. The other section don't have any background music.

DVD Extras:
Well, there is the non-credit opening, along with the original Japanese credit opening as well. There isn't much then that.

Packaging:
It's a very colorful, reflecting the cuteness of this series. On the cover, you see Mika-Sensei with the school in the background. In the back, there are screenshots, with pink as the main color. The insert is pretty simple, with a list of episodes, along with the next volumes coming out & the same image as the cover. On the DVD disc itself, it's the same image as the cover. The DVD case is white, perfect for the colorful cover.

PC Viewing:
Watching it on the PC is the same as watching it on the TV. Very clean, no problem at all, very little pixel (little squares popping in & out), both normal mode & full screen mode. The sound is just great. The episodes are place on one single track as you play the episodes, so loading time is really small. You can fast forward to the first episode to the last episode with one move on your mouse! Like on your regular DVD player, you can skip the warnings & logos when you load the disc, just use the "menu" option to go to the menu screen.

Overall DVD Rating:
I love this series, another day in high school, with a twist. It's the days of a unique teacher & her odd students. It's cute, fill with giggles. Sometimes, it make you feel that you missed high school days. Just sit back & enjoy...
