Introduction:
The Entity Stirs...

Mimiru, Bear, & Tsukasa participate in a sponsored event, & seem to have a good time. But Sora is after Tsukasa. In the real world, a doctor & a parent discuss the fate of the a child in a coma. But who is it?

With some help from the mysterious & powerful hacker named Helba, Crim & B.T. manage to disocver the secret portal called the Twilight Eye. They are transported to a hidden realm, an upside-down castle. But before they can search for secrets, they must fend off their pursuers.

But the quest for the Key of the Twilight has not gone unnoticed by the hidden power behind Tsukasa. It takes steps to ensure that no clues are discovered, & it decided that Tsukasa has outlived his usefulness.

When Bear, Mimiru, & Tsukasa arrive at the castle, they must contend with numerous obstacles before they can uncover the awnser. But what they find is definitely not worth the cost.

From the same all-star team that created the video game: Toshiyuki Sadamoto (Evangelion), Kazunori Ito (Ghost In The Shell), & Koichi Mashimo (Noir).

Contains Episodes:
  • Episode 11: Party
  • Episode 12: Entanglement
  • Episode 13: Twilight Eye
  • Episode 14: Castle

Feature Presentation:
Finally, the third volume is finally release, adding more clue to our wonders what's going on with Tsukasa & The World. Now, Tsukasa learns what's it's like to be in a party in an event of the World, but it triggers something in his memory. The search for the Key of the Twilight have turn into a little competition, with B.T. & Crim on one side, while Mimiru, Bear & Tsukasa on the other. However, Sora seem to be having fun. It seem more interesting as the series goes by.

Video:
Bandai Entertainment did a very great job. I found no problem, the image are clear & the color looks perfect. To top things off, the series is feature on Widescreen format. If you got a Widescreen TV, you're going to enjoy this even more. Each episodes are separated into 5 parts: the introduction, part A, part B, the ending & the preview for the next episode! The episodes are on different tracks, so when moving to the next episode, there will be a small loading time. I do note that you can skip all those warnings & logos when you first load the DVD by just pressing the "Menu" button on your remote control.

Dubbing: English:
Like before, the English dubbing is well done. It's about 85% of the original Japanese.

Audio 01: English 2.0:
No problem found. The sound is clear & smooth.

Audio 02: Japanese 2.0:
No problem found.

Subtitle:
Bandai Entertainment have selected a great font, very easy to read. They use green for the introduction & ending themes, the rest is yellow & white for Japanese signs & text. There are two tracks of subtitling. One track is for the sign subtitling & the other one is for the Japanese dialogue.

Menu Option:
The menu is also in widescreen format, but if got just a regular full screen TV, it will display in that format with no problem. The menu have change then the first two volume, it's now starting up with B.T. casting a spell, with a gate spining with some clips from the episodes from this volume. It still hold the "Play All", "Episodes", "Setup" & "Extras". The main theme is playing in the main menu in the background. The other section plays the original background music soundtracks.

DVD Extras:
Like the first two volume, you will also get the isolated score audio track. It's bascially just rolling the series with no sound effects or voices, just the background music. Maybe you can do your own fan dubbing? The character gallery have Sora, Helba & alot more. You will also get the original Japanese commercial for the series & the continuing of .Hack timeline from the second volume, which how "The World" came to be. It's pretty interesting to read, I might add.

Packaging:
The package carried the same design, this time it's mostly red. On the cover, you see Sora & B.T. I have no idea why they call it the "Platinum Series". In the back, there is a design of hexagone with screenshots. The insert have the same picture as the cover. It also have a list of the cast & staff & inside, the type of characters that players can choose to be in The World. On the DVD disc, it's just B.T. Again, I still hate the cheap cases that Bandai Entertainment used.

PC Viewing:
Watching it on the PC is the same as watching it on the TV. Very clean, no problem at all, very little pixel (little squares popping in & out), both normal mode & full screen mode. The sound is just great. Since the episodes are on different tracks, there will be a small loading time when you move on to the next episode. Like on your regular DVD player, you can skip the warnings & logos when you load the disc, just use the "menu" option to go to the menu screen.

Overall DVD Rating:
The series keep getting stranger & stranger, what is the Key of the Twilight?

Feature Presentation: More clue or mystery?
Video (Images) I love the widescreen feature. Crisps & clear! No problem found.

Audio 01: English 2.0 No problem found.

DVD Extras: The timeline is pretty interesting.
Packaging: I hate the cheap DVD case!
PC Viewing: Easy to view, clean, no problem!
