Introduction:
Alliances break!

After the battle at the upside-down castle, everyone but Tsukasa is returned to a regualr field in The World. Did Tsukasa die? What happened to him, since he was trapped in the game?

He's been captured by the unseen force, previously his ally. How furious with him, the voice's words have a sinister tone. When Tsukasa does reappear, parts of him - memories, feelings, thoughts - see to be "missing". He complains that he doesn't feel whole. Is he really Tsukasa, or just a copy of the character's data?

The other characters have their problems as well. BT wants to expand her partnership with Crim, but he doesn't seem interested. Subaru finds out that the Silver Knight has been hiding messages from her. But the final affront comes when the System Administrator informs her of his latest request. One so outragous that she & the Silver Knight have one final arguement - with disastrous results.

From the same all-star team that created the video game: Toshiyuki Sadamoto (Evangelion), Kazunori Ito (Ghost In The Shell), & Koichi Mashimo (Noir).

Contains Episodes:
  • Episode 15: Depth
  • Episode 16: Conflict
  • Episode 17: Declaration
  • Episode 18: Recollection

Feature Presentation:
Another volume of this strange & stunning series about the world of online gaming. Here, we continued what happen after Tsukasa, Mimiru & Bear enters a strange place, looking for the "Key Of The Twilight". Everyone return, except for Tsukasa. He is trapped by the strange & unknown force. When he finally did return, he forgotten the events. Also, in this volume, you get to know BT a little more personnal. She might be smart, but she didn't turn out to be as you think she is. Plus, you might related to Subaru if you ever played any online games. In the online gaming world, it's just a game & we play a role in the game. I think it's a lesson that we all hardcore gamers should think about. You sure can learn something from this series, don't you?

Video:
Again, Bandai Entertainment did a very great job. I found no problem, the image are clear & the color looks perfect. To top things off, the series is feature on Widescreen format. If you got a Widescreen TV, you're going to enjoy this even more. Each episodes are separated into 5 parts: the introduction, part A, part B, the ending & the preview for the next episode! The episodes are on different tracks, so when moving to the next episode, there will be a small loading time. Oh, at the end, after watching all of the episodes, you will see an English cast version of the ending credits, which is pretty cool. I do note that you can skip all those warnings & logos when you first load the DVD by just pressing the "Menu" button on your remote control.

Dubbing: English:
Like before, the English dubbing is well done. It's about 85% of the original Japanese.

Audio 01: English 2.0:
No problem found.

Audio 02: Japanese 2.0:
No problem found.

Subtitle:
Bandai Entertainment have selected a great font, very easy to read. They use green for the introduction & ending themes, the rest is yellow & white for Japanese signs & text. There are two tracks of subtitling. One track is for the sign subtitling & the other one is for the Japanese dialogue.

Menu Option:
The menu is also in widescreen format, but if got just a regular full screen TV, it will display in that format with no problem. Another change to the menu, this time, another angle of the exiting portal of The World with a gate spining with some clips from the episodes from this volume. The same function still exist, it still hold the "Play All", "Episodes", "Setup" & "Extras". The main theme is playing in the main menu in the background. The other section plays the original background music soundtracks.

DVD Extras:
As before, you get the standard isolated score audio track, the series with no sound effects or voices, just the background music. The character gallery a mix on the grunt, Tsukasa's Guardian, as well other characters designs. Also, as the previous volume, you will see another original Japanese commercial for the series. That's about it. This volume got a little less extras this time.

Packaging:
Well, this time, the package is green, keeping the same design as the other volumes. On the cover, you see Crim & Saburu in the back. I still have no idea why they call it the "Platinum Edition". In the back, there is a design of hexagone with screenshots. The insert have the same picture as the cover. It also have a list of the cast & staff & inside, a little detailed what is the "Key Of The Twilight". It might be a little spoiler for you, so I suggest not to read it until finish watching the series. On the DVD disc, it's Saburu. Oh, I want to know something, I think all of you fans did something, Bandai Entertainment stop using those cheap cases as I mention on the other volumes. Goodies!

PC Viewing:
Watching it on the PC is the same as watching it on the TV. Very clean, no problem at all, very little pixel (little squares popping in & out), both normal mode & full screen mode. The sound is just great. Since the episodes are on different tracks, there will be a small loading time when you move on to the next episode. Like on your regular DVD player, you can skip the warnings & logos when you load the disc, just use the "menu" option to go to the menu screen.

Overall DVD Rating:
The series keep getting more interesting now. If you're watching it up to this point, keep going. Though, I find that adding the emotional & understanding what the characters are feeling, make it more attaching.

Feature Presentation: It's keep getting better & better!
