Ryuka takes control of the personal attendant department, & frantically tries to lead her team to the number one spot in the annual budget contest. Meanwhile, Cynthia suddenly disappears from the Hanaukyo Family & Taro gets lost in Kamakura with a mysterious beautiful woman with a red sport car. Can Konoe find Taro before it's too late?

  • Episode 06: Budget Contest
  • Episode 07: Unidentified Living Creature
  • Episode 08: Woman in a Sports Car

Feature Presentation:
Special thanks to Geneon Entertainment for sending a copy for a review for this site. It doesn't get any better & we're back for more episodes of this cute & funny series about Taro & his maids. Ikuyo Suzuki of the Technology Department, not only is good what she does, she got a hobby of drawing manga & she is even publishing it for the "Comic Manga Market". If you ever beed to Japan (and some Anime even reference it), it's an event where regular artists drawed & produce their own manga to sell. However, Tara & the maid team are asked for help in cosplay! Oh, this is so sweet. You might even recognized! So far, I only figured out "Chi" from Chobits, "Sugar" from A Little Snow Fairy Sugar & even Mahoro from Mahoromatic saying "All dirty thoughts are very bad!". Guess who is dressed up as Mahoro? However, Ryuka is back & plans to join the maid team. Boy, her personnality can be sure something, but it proved that never giving up always lead to success. Next, it's budget time at the estate for all the departments in a baseball contest. It's a great idea to solve a budget. It's brain VS brute strengh. However, all the fun has to stop, when an earthquake shake up things & discovered a secret tunnel. Things couldn't get any worst, Cynthia is missing. The last two episodes seem to dig deep into the past, about Mariel...

Video:
Geneon Entertainment did a very great job, again. I found no problem, the image are clear & the color looks perfect. There is some watermarks done for the introduction & ending credits (they are translated in English). Since all the episodes are on one single track on the DVD, there is no loading time or changing tracks when you move on to the next episode. Each episode is split into 5 parts: introduction, part A, part B, ending & the preview for the next episode! I do note that you can skip the warnings & logos in the beginning using the "Menu" button on your remote.

Dubbing: English:
The English dubbing is well done. The best part is cosplay, I have a feeling that, since that Geneon Entertainment did releases the Anime series those characters came from, I feel that the voices actually got their part back, down to even Mahoro's quote! The dialogue even includes Japanese terms, like "chan" or "sama". It's about 85% of the original Japanese.

Audio 01: English 2.0:
No problem found.

Audio 02: Japanese 2.0:
No problem found.

Subtitle:
Geneon Entertainment have selected a great font, easy to read. They use green for the introduction & ending themes, white for any text subtitling & yellow for the dialogues. One track is for the sign subtitling & the other one is for the Japanese dialogue. I might note that every odd numbered episodes, the intro & ending subtitles are in English, while the even numbered episodes are in Japanese original text.

Menu Option:
The menu is pretty simple. There you see Konoe, though the image is really not the best one, with flower petals flying in the background. There is the "Play All", "Screen Access", "Set Up" & "Extras". The background music is the introduction music. However, it's only for the main menu, there is no music playing in the other screen section.

DVD Extras:
Again, there isn't much extras, this time it is the non-credit ending. That's about it.

Packaging:
Keep the same design, it's still quite colorful. There, you see Konoe & Yashima together. In the back, the episodes are listed with screenshots from each of them. The only thing is a bother is the description, the font is still really small to read. The insert is really special, featuring an original artwork of the cover image. There is the chapter list, along with the upcoming releases date the next volume. On the disc itself, it's the same as the cover. Since the DVD case is a clear, you get to see the reversible cover, which you will see Ryuka & Ikuyo, which is the same image used for what is on the DVD disc itself.

PC Viewing:
Watching it on the PC is the same as watching it on the TV. Very clean, no problem at all, very little pixel (little squares popping in & out), both normal mode & full screen mode. The sound is just great. The episodes are place on one single track as you play the episodes, so loading time is really small. You can fast forward to the beginning to the lend with one move on your mouse! Like on your regular DVD player, you can skip the warnings & logos when you load the disc, just use the "menu" option to go to the menu screen.

Overall DVD Rating:
The cosplay scene is the best part, along with the budget contest with all the departments. However, there is now a sense of mystery now & you just can't wait to see what's next & find out what is really going on.

Feature Presentation: Cosplay is fun & the sillyness continues.
Video (Images) Crisps & clear!
Dubbing: English Dubbing is great! Kept even the quotes for the cosplay scene!
Audio 01: English 2.0 No problem found!
Audio 02: Japanese 2.0 No problem found!
Subtitle: English Easy reading, two options of subtitling.
Menu Option: The image of Mariel could be better.
DVD Extras: Just a non-credit opening, nothing else.
Packaging: Colorful, but the description font seem too small.
PC Viewing: Easy to view, clean, no problem!
Overall DVD Rating: A sense of mystery now & you just can't wait to see what's next.
