Introduction:
Original created & produced by Satoru Akahori (Maze TV / MASTER OF MOSQUITON / SABER MARIONETTE J / SORCERER HUNTERS TV) with Director Hiroshi Negi (BURN UP W / TENCHI MUYO MOVIE 1: TENCHI IN LOVE / TENCHI MUYO UNIVERSE TV), & Original Character Designs by Takehiko Ito (OUTLAW STAR)!

T-t-t-treasure?? Who cares about saving the world when there's treasure to be found! When Wan & his voracious appetite hook up with bossy little Mei-Mer & playboy Bud Mint, they won't let anything stand in their way (including each other) to find all that glitters!

Kidnapped by their mortal enemies, the Humans, our compatriots just happen to stumble upon the Humans' secret password - Dr. Password that is. In exchange for freeing his granddaughter Yuni, Password hands the greedy little gang the key to the greatest treasure the world has ever known! Of course they have no idea what it is or where it is, but they're not about to let the Humans get their grubby hands on it first! Now if they can only manage not to kill each other before they can find it...

Contains Episodes:
  • Episode 01: Wunderbar-Underbar! Let's A Go-Go!
  • Episode 02: A Little Chat - First Contact
  • Episode 03: It's the Final Fight! We Can't Surrender!

Feature Presentation:
Special thanks to Right Stuf International for sending me a pre-release copy for a review for this site. This is a preview of what's going to be release, so not all information will be available until then. I find this Anime a little cute, yet silly at the same time. It's a mix of transforming into animals & "Power Rangers" robots battles, with a twist laughing fun. It's a cool combonation. The music is quite a beat.

Video:
Right Stuf International has work on it really well. This Anime is pretty old, but the animation is still pretty good. Clear & smooth, there is a little static here & there. There is only little annoying is the "Dolby Digital" logo if you selected to "Play All" mode. Usually, this logo is shown during the being when you load the disc. Anyways, since the episodes are all on different tracks, it will have a little loading time whrn you move on to the next episode. By the way, you can skip all those warnings & logos when you first load the DVD by just pressing the "Menu" button on your remote control.

Dubbing: English:
I find the dubbing really well done. The voice of Akumako might sound familiar to you. It really suits it the evil little bug. It's about 85% of the original Japanese.

Audio 01: English 2.0:
The English track isn't the default on this DVD. You still have to switch it if you want to watch it in English.

Audio 02: Japanese 2.0:
The Japanese track is the default track. It's great that both Japanese track & English track are at the same volume, so I don't have to adjust the volume of the TV while changing the tracks.

Subtitle:
There are two tracks of subtitling. One track is for the sign subtitling & the other one is for the Japanese dialogue. The font is easy to read. All the subtitling are in yellow, the color white is use for Japanese sign & texts.

Menu Option:
The menu is really animated. You got the "Play All", "Episodes" selection, "Extras" & the "Set Up". All the clips you see in the main menu are from the opening of the series, but the the music in the background is from the original opening that you can see in the extra section. Simple & easy to use interface.

DVD Extras:
There are many extras to find on this DVD. My favorite is the dubbing outtakes. I keep laughing at part of the outtake. Make sure you watch the episodes first before watching the outtakes. The rest are character bios, translation notes, an animated art gallery & the original opening for the 3 episodes. Personally, I perfer the original openings then the current one.

Packaging:
The package is pretty simple. On the cover, you get to see Wan, Bud, Mei-Mer, Tuttle & Yumi in a colorful background. In the back, you see the sexy Mei-Mer, with 3 screenshots on the top. The insert is the same as the DVD cover. Since this is a pre-release, there isn't any image on the DVD disc itself.

PC Viewing:
Watching it on the PC is the same as watching it on the TV. Very clean, no problem at all, very little pixel (little squares popping in & out), both normal mode & full screen mode. The sound is just great. The episodes are on different tracks on the DVD, so it will take a small time to load when you move on to the next episode. Like on your regular DVD player, you can skip the warnings & logos when you load the disc, just use the "menu" option to go to the menu screen.

Overall DVD Rating:
For a strange Anime, it packs a punch. Laugh it all out.

Feature Presentation: Cute, silly, mecha & animal fun!
Video (Images) The "Dolby Digital" logo is out of it place.
Dubbing: English Dubbing is good, almost similar to the Japanese version.
Audio 01: English 2.0 No problem found!
Audio 02: Japanese 2.0 The Japanese track is on default.
Subtitle: English Subtitling is easy to read.
Menu Option: Lots of moving animation.
DVD Extras: I love the outtakes.
Packaging: Colorful, wish they work on a better insert.
PC Viewing: Easy to view, clean, no problem!
Overall DVD Rating: It packs a punch!
