Introduction:
Keitaro Urashima is trying for the 3rd time to get into Tokyo University, the most prestigious University in Japan. Why? Because of a promise he made to a girl when they were both children. But that was long ago & he has forgotten who the girl was. His parents who only see him as a loafen, are constantly nagging him. So when his grandmother invites him to visit at her home, the Hinata apartments, he figures he can crash there.

But when he arrives he suddenly finds himself under attack by all-female residents of the complex. before they completely destroy him, however; they discover that he's been named the new manager! How will the girls react to a man living in their all-girls building?

He's already gotten off on the wrong foot. But as they get to know him, he still find himself at a short end of the stick (and sometimes the katana). Can his good nature & pure heart win out? Will the girls of the Hinata Apartments accept him? Will his bones ever knit? Welcome to Keitaro's life. Welcome to Love Hina!

Feature Presentation:
I heard this series from a friend & once it came out on DVD, I just got it. How can I say, I love this series. Though, this Anime is totally unique. It's all CGI (Computer Graphic Image)! There is a little bit of everything, romance, action to comedy! As I quote from my friend, "Keitaro's is the only human that can fly!". You will see why! Episode 02 is my favorite, it is really sweet & it touch your heart. The music is cool. the story is very original. The only thing I hate & makes me wonder, who is Keitaro's lost love? You have to wait & watch!

Video:
Since it's totally CGI, the image is very very clear. I find no problem at all. It's sharp & the colors are so bright. Bandai Entertainment have really done a good job releasing it! To top things off, unlike some other DVDs, you can actually skip all those little annoying warning & logos when you load the disc. No more waiting, just hit "menu" on your remote! All the episodes are divided in 4 parts, introduction, part one, part two & ending.

Dubbing: English:
The dubbing is really cool. They pick the cast really well. It's about 80% of the original Japanese.

Audio 01: English 2.0:
There is one problem, the English track is actually softer then the Japanese track. I wonder why. Other then that, no problem.

Audio 02: Japanese 2.0:
The Japanese track is louder then the English track, including the main theme. Adjusting the volume on your TV is the only annoyance you will have.

Subtitle:
Actually, there are 2 tracks for subtitling, one is only for the subtitle of items that is shown in Japanese symbol, the other one is the actually subtitle for the Japanese audio track, as well as the items. The English subtitle is translated good. The opening & ending theme have different color then during the show. Green doesn't work well with the colors in the background. They used yellow for the rest of the subiting & white if they are more then one dialogue at the same time. I say the white one is much easier to read.

Menu Option:
The menu is really simple. It's just a picture of the Hinata Apartment in the background. The other side, in a heart, there are 3 screenshots above, below, to select your options. It's all animated. There is the play all, language setting, the extra & select your scene from what episode, which is numbered 1 to 4. The only thing that might be annoying is that the main theme keep playing again & again!

DVD Extras:
There isn't much, two extras only. "Keitaro's Sketchbook" is just Keitaro little notes about the girls & what he thinks about them on this DVD. "Character Photo Gallery" give a profile of Naru Narusegawa, plus some screenshots. The rest are trailers for other Anime & the credit list of the DVD.

Packaging:
I love the packaging. I say it's one of the best. The cover shows Keitaro & Naru. The back is really highly detailed. Cute pictures everywhere, some screenshots. Plus, the DVD case is a clear one, so when you open it up, you can actually see behind the cover, which adds to the presentation. It's nothing much on this, just a full scale of the cover. The DVD disc cover itself is the same as the cover. The insert have more information on "Naru Narusegawa".

PC Viewing:
Watching it on the PC is the same as watching it on the TV. Very clean, no problem at all, very little pixel (little squares popping in & out), both normal mode & full screen mode. The sound is just great. The episodes are place on one single track as you play the episodes, so loading time is really small. You can fast forward to the first episode to the last episode with one move on your mouse! Like on your regular DVD player, you can skip the warnings & logos when you load the disc, just use the "menu" option to go to the menu screen.

Overall DVD Rating:
I love this series. Though, I have to wait to get the last DVD until I find out who is this girl that Keitaro barely remembers! All the girls are good candidates! I was worth it, hopefully, it is worth the wait!

Feature Presentation: Very cool series, it makes you wonder who is this girl!
Video (Images) Behold the power of DVD, crisps & clear! No problem found.
Dubbing: English Dubbing is great, almost similar to the Japanese version.
Audio 01: English 2.0 It's softer then the Japanese track.
Audio 02: Japanese 2.0 Annoying audio volume! Other then that, no problem.
Subtitle: English Green doesn't suit for subtitling.
Menu Option: If you like to hear the main theme over & over, you can!
DVD Extras: The profile is the only thing cool.
Packaging: Very very cool DVD case! Once of the nicest I have seen.
PC Viewing: Easy to view, clean, no problem!
Overall DVD Rating: It's well worth it. It's funny! If you can, get the Box Set box!
