Introduction:
A relaxing vacation?

The Good news, Keitaro has been more or less accepted as the new manager of the Hinata Apartments. The bad news, he failed his latest entrance exams.

So he decides to take a short trip to Kyoto to boost his spirits. Naru, depressed & disappointed about wasting her last three years studying, also decided she needs a break & sets off alone. On their travels, they each meet someone who they think would be an ideal match, if only their glasses weren't broken & they could see!

Meanwhile, at the Hinata Apartments, the days pass quietly. When the rest of the group doesn't hear from Keitaro or Naru, they mount a "rescue mission". But just who is rescuring whom? On the road to love, there are many bumps & bruises & Keitaro's going to experience them all.

Contains Episodes:
  • Episode 05: Wow. A Trip to Kyoto! Exciting
  • Episode 06: Keitaro's First Kiss is with...? Journey
  • Episode 07: First Date, Keitaro's True Feelings: Nowadays
  • Episode 08: Kendo Girl & the Legend of the Dragon Palace: Is This A Dream

Feature Presentation:
Finally, the second DVD of this series is out, with 4 more episodes. Still, it does mention about this mystery of the lost girl in Keitaro's memories, but there is another candidate that comes on board. Man, how long can Keitaro survive Naru's high kick? Anyways, Naru & Keitaro make such a cute couple & you get a tour of Japan. I find this really cute in Episode 08 shows what is like to be in an RPG (Role-Playing Game). It even explain how RPG games functions, too.

Video:
Since it's totally CGI, the image is very very clear. I find no problem at all. It's sharp & the colors are so bright. Bandai Entertainment have really done a good job, again! Like the first disc, just hit "menu" option on your remote to skip the warnings & logos when you load the disc. All the episodes are divided in 4 parts, introduction, part one, part two & ending.

Audio 01: English 2.0:
Using the same format as the first volume, the dubbing is still great. Though, one problem still remains, the English track is actually softer then the Japanese track. I wonder why. Other then that, no problem. It's about 80% of the original Japanese.

Audio 02: Japanese 2.0:
The Japanese track is louder then the English track, including the main theme. Adjusting the volume on your TV is the only annoyance you will have.

Subtitle:
They keep the same format as the first disc, there are 2 tracks for subtitling, one is only for the subtitle of items that is shown in Japanese symbol, the other one is the actually subtitle for the Japanese audio track, as well as the items. The English subtitle is translated good. If only I can understand Japanese, then I could know for sure. The opening & ending theme have different color then during the show. Green doesn't work well with the colors in the background. They used yellow for the rest of the subiting & white if they are more then one dialogue at the same time. I guess they can't really change it now.

Menu Option:
Same style as the first one. It's just a picture of the Hinata Apartment in the background. The other side, in a heart, there are 3 screenshots above, below, to select your options. There is the play all, language setting, the extra & select your scene from what episode, which is numbered 5 to 8. The only thing that might be annoying is that the main theme keep playing again & again! It's all animated as well.

DVD Extras:
Some as the first volume, there is two extras only. "Keitaro's Sketchbook" is different. There is a song feature on Episode 06, you get the chance to sing it with the lyrics. Also, "Character Photo Gallery" give a profile of Mokoto, plus some screenshots. The rest are trailers for other Anime & the credit list of the DVD.

Packaging:
The packaging is so cool! This time, the cover shows Keitaro & Motoko. The back is really highly detailed. Cute pictures everywhere, some screenshots. Plus, the DVD case is a clear one, so when you open it up, you can actually see behind the cover, which adds to the presentation. It features the RPG poster that Motoko is in. The insert have more information on "Motoko Auyuma". The DVD disc cover itself is the same as the cover.

PC Viewing:
Watching it on the PC is the same as watching it on the TV. It's the same as the first one, very clean, no problem at all, very little pixel (little squares popping in & out), both normal mode & full screen mode. The sound is just great. The movie is place on one single track as you play the episodes, so loading time is really small, you can zip through all the episodes in one shot. Like on your regular DVD player, you can skip the warnings & logos when you load the disc, just use the "menu" option to go to the menu screen.

Overall DVD Rating:
It's keep getting better & better. Though, the mystery continues. On to the next DVD!

Feature Presentation: It keeps better & better! Another candidate on board!
Video (Images) Behold the power of DVD, crisps & clear! No problem found.
Audio 01: English 2.0 Dubbing is great, almost similar to the Japanese version.
Audio 02: Japanese 2.0 Annoying audio volume! Other then that, no problem.
Subtitle: English Green doesn't suit for subititling.
Menu Option: If you like to hear the main theme over & over, you can!
DVD Extras: Can you sing the song?
Packaging: Very very cool DVD case! Once of the nicest I have seen.
PC Viewing: Easy to view, clean, no problem!
Overall DVD Rating: It's well worth it. It's funny! If you can, get the Box Set box!
