It's Christmas, & at the Hinata Apartments, that means gifts, parties. and... utter chaos.

While sneaking around searching for gifts, Kaolla & Sara discover a letter in Naru 's room. It's none of their business, so of course they read it: "I Always Loved..." What does this mean? Who does Naru love?

Everyone has their suspicions, but to find out, they plan to follow her! Meanwhile, Keitaro's following Naru as well. What's going on? Car chases! Subway chases! Bicycle chases!

Keitaro & Mutsumi in a Love Hotel! The creator of Love Hina! It's five minutes to midnight... will the truth be revealed?

Contains Episodes:
  • Feature Movie: Love Hina Christmas Movie
  • Episode 25: Motoko's Choice Between Love or Swords: Don't Cry

Feature Presentation:
It's Christmas time at the Hinata Apartments. I find it really nice to see it during the holidays. It sure bring you out for the Christmas season. However, you can still watch it during the rest of the year, no harm done. This is the first movie of Love Hina, you get to see all your favorite characters. The music is really sweet, too. The story continues between the relationship with Naru & Keitaro. Confessing your love on Christmas eve, will it make your wish come true? The ending is really sweet, you just want to cry. Will Naru tells Keitaro how she really feels? Well, watch the movie & find out!

Video:
Since it's totally CGI, the image is very very clear. I find no problem at all. It's sharp & the colors are so bright. Bandai Entertainment have really done a good job releasing it! Again, skip the warnings & logos when you load the disc by hitting "menu" on your remote. All the episodes are divided in 16 parts. Yes, this movie still have the same introduction theme as the series does.

Dubbing: English:
The dubbing style remains the same & they kept as close to the original Japanese as much as they can. It's about 85% of the original Japanese.

Audio 01: English 2.0:
No problem found.

Audio 02: Japanese 2.0:
No problem found.

Subtitle:
There are 2 tracks for subtitling, one is only for the subtitle of items that is shown in Japanese symbol, the other one is the actually subtitle for the Japanese audio track, as well as the items. The English subtitle is translated good. They still kept the same color subtitling as the series. Green for the introduction & ending, yellow for the dialogue.

Menu Option:
It's all the Christmas rage. Christmas lights blinking, with a Christmas theme playing in the menu screen. There is a picture of all the girls wearing Christmas uniforms, just like the DVD cover. There are 4 options, "Play The Movie", "Scene Select", "Setup" & "Extras". The layout is really cute.

DVD Extras:
You thought that there are only 24 episodes! You're wrong, there is an episode 25 & it's on this DVD. I wonder why. Well, when you see it, you will know. It's all about Motoko. It got the same layout as the other 24 episodes, divided in 4 parts, with introduction & ending. I suggest to watch it before the movie! You will also get an textless ending of the movie as well. The rest are trailers for other Anime & the credit list of the DVD.

Packaging:
It's a different style. Well, of course, it is a movie feature. You get to see all the girls in Christmas uniforms. In the back, it's all Christmas theme, with a few screenshots. The insert is actually a poster of the girls, in the back of it, you will get a 2003 Calendar, with the birthday dates of all the characters, as well as the release date of the upcoming Love Hina Spring Movie! The DVD disc cover is the same as the DVD cover itself.

PC Viewing:
Watching it on the PC is the same as watching it on the TV. Very clean, no problem at all, very little pixel (little squares popping in & out), both normal mode & full screen mode. The sound is just great. The movie is place on one single track as you play the episodes, so loading time is really small, you can zip through all the episodes in one shot. Like on your regular DVD player, you can skip the warnings & logos when you load the disc, just use the "menu" option to go to the menu screen.

Overall DVD Rating:
Well, Happy Holidays & watch the movie with friends & family.
