Feature Presentation:
Special thanks to Central Park Media for sending a copy for a review for this site. It's been a while that I actually watched an magical related Anime. Honestly, I never seen the first part, but lucky for me, there is a recap, which I'll be talking about later on. This is actually the continuation. It's not a series, it's actually a movie, number two. A year has pass by since psychic schoolgirl Yumemi encounters Magical King Munto that changes her life forever. He comes from a world where magic exist up in the Heavens that is in a state of crisis & this crisis is so destructive that it merges to our world. However, Yumemi has the power to save both worlds, but she refused out of fear & has regretted. Ever since, she looks up at the sky, wondering what she can do. However, she isn't alone regretting, she got two best friends that help & always been there for her. As things getting worst up in the Heavens, Yumemi senses it & must decide what she need to do. It's about friendship, courage & the power to make a difference. A little note, the music is just wonderful.
Video:
Central Park Media have really done a good job releasing it! Clear & smooth, no problem at all. The only thing I dislike is the logo twice (one in the beginning, the other right before the movie). I think once is enough. There is no watermark done, so everything is as it is, down to the original Japanese credit at the end. However, you will get the English credit after the Japanese credit, so it's not so bad. I do note that you can't really skip the warnings & logos in the beginning using the "Menu" button on your remote, so you need to wait for a bit.
Dubbing: English:
The dubbing is really great. The voices of Yumemi & her friends are the ones I like best. It captures the friendship & bonds that makes it so realistic. However, I do want to point out that it's been a while since the first Munto release. Since I haven't seen it, the cast might have change over time. It's about 85% of the original Japanese.
Audio 01: English 2.0:

Audio 02: Japanese 2.0:

Subtitle:
Central Park Media have selected a great font, very easy to read & quite bold. They use yellow for the Japanese dialogue & green for the ending credits. One track is for the sign subtitling & the other one is for the Japanese dialogue.
Menu Option:
It's pretty simple. You see Munto & a little clip of the battle scene of the Heavens. There is "Play", "Screen Selection", "Setup" & "Extras". The background music isn't really a background music, it's the audio of the clip it's playing. However, the other section has no background music.
DVD Extras:
There is lots to see, but the most important part is the recap of the first Munto release, for those who haven't seen it or just want to refresh their memories on what happen a year ago. It's both in English & original Japanese with subtitle. There is the original Japanese trailers, along with a cute warning not to sit close to the TV. Last, there is a various art galleries, from backgrounds to characters.
Packaging:
The package looks like the first Munto movie. On the cover, you see Munto, Yumemi & one of Yumemi's best friend. In the back, there is screenshots with Yumemi once again. Central Park Media has the tradition not to included insert. However, since the DVD case is a clear one, all the information from cast list & chapter list are on the back of the cover, which is quite unique. On the DVD disc itself, it's the same as the cover.
PC Viewing:
Watching it on the PC is the same as watching it on the TV. Very clean, no problem at all, very little pixel (little squares popping in & out), both normal mode & full screen mode. The sound is just great. The movie is place on one single track, so loading time is really small. You can fast forward to the beginning to the end with one move on your mouse! Like on your regular DVD player, you can't skip the warnings & logos when you load the disc, just use the "menu" option to go to the menu screen, so you need to wait for a bit.
Overall DVD Rating:
Even with all the magic battles & all that, there is a human connection, the bonds between Yumemi & her friends that they shared together. Though, the ending did leave us a little chance there might be more coming of Munto & I hope that it well.
