Introduction:
The future depends on Scout Power!

Sailor Moon & her four Sailor Scouts (Mercury, Venus, Mars & Jupiter) must save the Planet & her best friend Darien from the most evil & dangerous creature in the Universe; the bewitching & deadly, Kisenian Blossom. She appears as a beautiful, tiny flower, but looks can be deceiving!

Kisemian, traveling from a far away galaxy disguised as a meteor, aims to gather all the "positive" energy from Earth & plant seeds of "negativity" leaving Earth full of hatred. But she cannot do it on her own, Kisenian preys on the vulnerable heart of Darien's childhood friend, Fiore. Fiore, jealous of Sailor Moon & Darien's passionate friendship, joins Kisenian in her wicked endeavor to gather energy from every star & planet!

Can the magic of Sailor Moon's Crystal & Scepter protect all of mankind from Kisenian's evil plan? Is she strong enough to save the Earth & her loved ones? Or will she be force to choose between them?

Feature Presentation:
This is the first time Sailor Moon have been release on DVD, uncut & uncensored. This is the first movie out of three. This movie is during the second half of Sailor Moon R. I think it's after when Rini discovered the Sailor Scouts are. You get a cute introduction about the Sailor Scouts, then you get to know a little about Darien's past. This movie will be great for all you Sailor Moon fans. Not only that, this movie is all about friendship & caring one & another. The ending sure make be cry, the Japanese version though, the English dubbed killed it.

Video:
It's kinda sad that Geneon Entertainment didn't do a little restoration, I guess they want to keep it original as possible. I found no problem, just the images is a little fuzzy, but it is an old Anime series after all. Also, there seem to have watermarking done, in the introduction, they added the English translated directly (no option to remove it), as well you don't get to see the original Japanese ending credits. You can skip the warning & logos when you first load the DVD by pressing the menu button on your remote straight to the menu.

Dubbing: English:
Though Geneon Entertainment never did the dubbing, it's the same dubbing as you saw the series on TV, except there is more due it's an uncut version. You know that the English dubbing of Sailor Moon is kinda horrible. The dubbing was made before the Sailor Moon S series was dubbed, meaning this is one of the last dubbing from the original English cast of Sailor Moon you grown so used to.

Audio 01: English 2.0:
No problem found.

Audio 02: Japanese 2.0:
The Japanese track is a little bit louder then the English track. Other then that, no problem found.

Subtitle:
Geneon Entertainment use the same font as the other volumes of Sailor Moon. There is two text for the the introduction & ending themes subtitling, white for the original Japanese text & yellow for the translation text. The Japanese dialogues are also in yellow. There is only one subtitle track, meaning there is a lacking subtitle for the "Moon Revenge" translation during the English audio track (you have to turn the subtitle on to have it).

Menu Option:
It's pretty simple. You see Sailor Moon attack pose on the left. There is the "Play", "Screen Access", "Set Up" & "Extras". There is some animation, flying rose petals across the screen. The background music is strange, I don't know where it came from, I think it's not a Sailor Moon music.

DVD Extras:
There is some extras on this DVD. You will get the original English introduction that they use for the edited version, as well "The Power Of Love" segment that replace the Japanese version of "Moon Revenge". There is the bio of the Sailor Scouts & a art gallery.

Packaging:
I kinda like the package. In the front, there is Princess Serena, with all roses around her. In the back, you get three screenshots. The insert is just the list of chapters. The DVD cover is the same as the cover, without Princess Serena on it.

PC Viewing:
Watching it on the PC is the same as watching it on the TV. Very clean, no problem at all, very little pixel (little squares popping in & out), both normal mode & full screen mode. The sound is just great. The movie is place on one single track, so loading time is really small. You can fast forward to the first episode to the last episode with one move on your mouse! Like on your regular DVD player, you can skip the warnings & logos when you load the disc, just use the "menu" option to go to the menu screen.

Overall DVD Rating:
Well, I only enjoy the original Japanese version. I still think the dubbing could be better, but it's just lose the heart warming feeling during the movie.

Feature Presentation: It's about friendship. It can touch your heart!
Video (Images) Don't have the original Japanese credits.
Dubbing: English Well, you know how bad the dubbing is!
Audio 01: English 2.0 No problems!
Audio 02: Japanese 2.0 A little bit louder then the English track.
Subtitle: English One subtitle track.
Menu Option: Need a better background music.
DVD Extras: Could have added the original Japanese ending credit.
Packaging: Nice front cover.
PC Viewing: Easy to view, clean, no problem!
Overall DVD Rating: Watch it in original Japanese!
