Feature Presentation:
This series is getting quite strange at it goes by. Hibiki Amawa, a gym teacher, dress as a woman, now face the challenge that only a woman can face. He get a chance to see what woman does, to shopping for lingerie, a physical exam to a arrange marriage. They kept the same format, the different introduction clips are still there for each episode, like a small preview. The most important lesson you're going to learn is it's not what counts on the outside, but what's in the inside, in your heart. The music remains the same, but you get to see a preview on what's to come during the episode. I find it really cute. You got to love the music! Also, a warning how to safely watch the TV remains, but done by Fujio Himejima.
Video:
Geneon Entertainment did a very great job. They have taken the time to do it right. I found no problem, the image are clear & the color looks perfect. Each episodes are separated into 5 parts: the introduction, part A, part B, ending & the preview for the next episode! Since all the episodes are on one single track on the DVD, there is no loading time or changing tracks when you move on to the next episode. However, if you use the auto-replay track option on your DVD player, it will not work, it will just go back to the menu. I do note that you can skip all those warnings & logos when you first load the DVD by just pressing the "Menu" button on your remote control.
Dubbing: English:
The English dubbing is well done. They still keep on doing what they did the first volume, the dialogue even includes Japanese terms, like "chan" or "seipai". It's about 85% of the original Japanese.
Audio 01: English 2.0:
No problem found.
Audio 02: Japanese 2.0:
The Japanese track is louder then the English track. Other then that, no problem found.
Subtitle:
Geneon Entertainment have selected a great font, yellow for the Japanese dialogue, white for the Japanese signs & texts, very easy to read. However, the opening theme, ending theme & Japanese songs played in the episodes are green & italic, which is a little hard to read, since green doesn't really pop up so easily.
Menu Option:
It's the same as the first volume. Before you enter the menu, you will get a introduction from the female of "Hibiki Amawa" (in English) on how to run the menu. Looks familiar? Yup, a green board from your classroom with a rotating logo. Though, the music is out of place. Country anyone? The music stop for a while & it goes again after a minute or so. The menu is very simple & easy to move around.
DVD Extras:
There are 3 extras. One is just a plain introduction & ending theme without all the credits. Well, no idea why they put it there. The other one is really cool. Again, you get to meet the students in Hibiki Amawa's class, but this time. the female students. It's only on audio, it will explain why. You can get some clips form the Manga version of this series popping in & out. I find it funny! By the way, you can see it in English & in Japanese. The last one is just a standard art gallery.
Packaging:
Colorful! You get to see the 2 main characters, Hibiki (female) & Fuko, again. In the back, there's the school in the background with 3 of Fuko's classmates. The DVD disc itself is just a plain brown-red. The insert is a mini-poster, cute pictures on it, along with the episode list & translation of some Japanese terms.
PC Viewing:
Watching it on the PC is the same as watching it on the TV. Very clean, no problem at all, very little pixel (little squares popping in & out), both normal mode & full screen mode. The sound is just great. The episodes are place on one single track as you play the episodes, so loading time is really small. You can fast forward to the first episode to the last episode with one move on your mouse! Like on your regular DVD player, you can skip the warnings & logos when you load the disc, just use the "menu" option to go to the menu screen.
Overall DVD Rating:
You actually do learn something, like what woman goes through. If you like the first volume, keep on going to toe second one. See you next class!
