They want to get stronger with one goal of their minds: to beat the Executive Council. After a long training, Maya decided to take a break & everyone is out for a day at the bowling alley. With no idea what is going on, the Executive Council sensed that the Maya & the Juken Club must be punish for disobeying their orders & decided to strike against them to put a stop. They have sent their full force, tripping Maya & everyone else in the Bowling Alley. However, Aya got trouble of her own & began to doubt herself & her feelings for Souichiro & is unable to fight. Now, they must do battle for their lives & face the challenge to fight the elites of all elites. You want some action, then here it is!
Video:
Geneon Entertainment did a very great job, again. I found no problem, the image are clear & the color looks perfect. There is some watermarks done for the introduction & ending credits (they are translated in English). Since all the episodes are on one single track on the DVD, there is no loading time or changing tracks when you move on to the next episode. Each episode is split into 5 parts: introduction, part A, part B, ending & the preview! I do note that you can skip the warnings & logos in the beginning using the "Menu" button on your remote.
Dubbing: English:
The English dubbing is well done. It's about 85% of the original Japanese.
Audio 01: English 2.0:
No problem found.
Audio 02: Japanese 2.0:
No problem found.
Subtitle:
Geneon Entertainment have selected a great font, easy to read. They use light blue (not the usual green) for the introduction & ending themes, white for any text subtitling & yellow for the dialogues. One track is for the sign subtitling & the other one is for the Japanese dialogue. I might note that every odd numbered episodes, the intro & ending subtitles are in English, while the even numbered episodes are in Japanese original text.
Menu Option:
Fellowing the same style as the previous volume, it's quite simple. There is a small animation of flower petals, with the picture of the sexy Aya in white hot bikini with her sword. There is the "Play All", the selection for each episode & "Screen Access". Once again, the "Set Up" & "Extras" are together. The background music is one of the battle musics of this series, but the other section don't have any background music. This time, selecting the "Play All" or any episodes, there is a little animation of wiping the screen off, but the rest still has no special effects.
DVD Extras:
There is only a non-credit ending of the series & nothing else.
Packaging:
It's a little more coverful this time with blue as a central color. On the cover, you see the sexy Aya in white biniki with her sword with a blue tone Souichiro in the background. Aya is in full color this time. On the back, well, a few screenshots of the episodes in this volume. The insert is the same picture as the cover, along the list of the next volume releases. On the DVD disc itself, yet again, it's the same picture as the cover. Since the DVD case is a clear, you get to see the reversible cover, once again, same picture is use, but it's the full version of it. It would be great if other pictures are used.
PC Viewing:
Watching it on the PC is the same as watching it on the TV. Very clean, no problem at all, very little pixel (little squares popping in & out), both normal mode & full screen mode. The sound is just great. The episodes are place on one single track as you play the episodes, so loading time is really small. You can fast forward to the first episode to the last episode with one move on your mouse! Like on your regular DVD player, you can skip the warnings & logos when you load the disc, just use the "menu" option to go to the menu screen.
Overall DVD Rating:
Finally, some butt-kicking action. It's all out where the Executive Council VS Juken Club. It's quite cool to see a cat's fight between two hot babes!
