Introduction:
Eye of the Dragon...

The head of the Executive Council has arrived & the Juken Club is in for some major schooling. During this time Aya begins feeling the true power of the Dragon Eye as it compels her to destroy her enemies. With this over-powering emotion, will Aya be able to retain her own identity? This is only the beginning as the age old conflict between Maya of the Juken Club & Mitsuomi of the Executive Council is brought to light.

Contains Episodes:
  • Episode 08: Dragon's Eye
  • Episode 09: Enforcement
  • Episode 10: Illusion

Feature Presentation:
Special thanks to Geneon Entertainment for sending a copy for a review for this site. The battle raged on, it's the Juken Club VS the Executive Council, a few against many. This is a tough battle. However, the Executive Council is taking no risk & to see the task is done correctly, the President himself, Mitsuomi has come to finish the job. Meanwhile, Aya is still troubled about her feelings & somehow, her own power, the Dragon's Eye, as surface, taking over & for the first time, she feels the full enjoyment of battle. With everyone out of commission, Souichiro is the only hope left. Hidden deep inside him, he has a special power that is passed down from his family, something uncontrolable & powerful that even Mitsuomi himself is unable to stop. Here we are, the conclusion of this battle. But, things doesn't seem the way it is, a secret about Maya's past is going to be revealed.

Video:
Geneon Entertainment did a very great job, again. I found no problem, the image are clear & the color looks perfect. There is some watermarks done for the introduction & ending credits (they are translated in English). Since all the episodes are on one single track on the DVD, there is no loading time or changing tracks when you move on to the next episode. Each episode is split into 5 parts: introduction, part A, part B, ending & the preview! I do note that you can skip the warnings & logos in the beginning using the "Menu" button on your remote.

Dubbing: English:
The English dubbing is well done. It's about 85% of the original Japanese.

Audio 01: English 2.0:
No problem found.

Audio 02: Japanese 2.0:
No problem found.

Subtitle:
Geneon Entertainment have selected a great font, easy to read. They use light blue (not the usual green) for the introduction & ending themes, white for any text subtitling & yellow for the dialogues. One track is for the sign subtitling & the other one is for the Japanese dialogue. I might note that every even numbered episodes, the intro & ending subtitles are in English, while the odd numbered episodes are in Japanese original text.

Menu Option:
Fellowing the same style as the previous volume, it's quite simple. There is a small animation of flower petals, with the picture of Mitsuomi. There is the "Play All", the selection for each episode & "Screen Access". Once again, the "Set Up" & "Extras" are together. The background music is one of the battle musics of this series, but the other section don't have any background music. Selecting the "Play All" or any episodes, there is a little animation of wiping the screen off, but the rest still has no special effects.

DVD Extras:
This time, there is not even any extras. It's sad.

Packaging:
Here we go, another purple theme. On the cover, you see Mitsuomi & the hot Maya flashing her asset in the background. On the back, a few screenshots of the episodes in this volume. The insert is the same picture as the cover, along the list of the next volume releases. On the DVD disc itself, yet again, it's the same picture as the cover. Since the DVD case is a clear, you get to see the reversible cover, once again, same picture is use, but it's the full version of it. I think it's a little to much.

PC Viewing:
Watching it on the PC is the same as watching it on the TV. Very clean, no problem at all, very little pixel (little squares popping in & out), both normal mode & full screen mode. The sound is just great. The episodes are place on one single track as you play the episodes, so loading time is really small. You can fast forward to the first episode to the last episode with one move on your mouse! Like on your regular DVD player, you can skip the warnings & logos when you load the disc, just use the "menu" option to go to the menu screen.

Overall DVD Rating:
The conclusion of the battle, this time, fighting with with the elite of all elite, Mitsuomi, the President of the Executive Council. This you got to see. However, you get to see what's about Maya, the story that started all.
